RON NURMI, THOMAS, HERBERT, GROM GRAB CHECKEREDS AT WCIS
As the second half of the 2006 season at the Wyoming County International Speedway got under way, several cars would falter from the stress of the first half schedule. While mechanical problems got the better of some teams, other teams found success at the Perry Bullring for the first time in a long time, or for the first time ever.
Full-fendered racing took center stage at WCIS with round two of the Late Model Madness Series. Ron Nurmi of Hamburg captured the 30-lap feature for his first win at WCIS since 1999.

PRUITT, POLASKI, AND CORSO CLINCH TITLES WITH WINS; MEYN WINS NORA LIMITEDS RACE
The 2005 regular season came to an end at Wyoming County International Speedway as the track champions were crowned on double-point Season Championship day. Adding to the excitement was an appearance by the NORA Limited Supermodifieds.In the 50-lap NORA Limited Super feature, Kris Meyn of Williamson picked up the win over Doug Reaume. Meyn also won the Spencer event two days before. Two new champions were crowned with Billy Ray Pruitt and Jeff Polaski getting their first Wyoming titles. 2003 champion Ryan Corso claimed his second track title.

DAN HOAG EARNS FIRST SST SPORTSMAN VICTORY
WYOMING
For the fifth time this season a first time visitor graced victory lane at Wyoming County International Speedway in the SST Sportsman class. Dan Hoag of Dansville led 19 laps of the 30 lap SST feature to earn his first career checkered flag in the division. Two point leaders added to their win totals as Jeff Polaski kept his win streak alive in Street Stock and Ryan Corso was the victor in the WASP class. The appearance of the Mini Cups resulted in Robbie Micoli capturing his second consecutive feature.

PATTI PRUITT TAKES FIRST SST SPORTSMAN FEATURE AS JEFF POLASKI GRABS R.O.C. STREET STOCK 50 QUALIFIER
The other half of the Pruitt race team made her way into victory lane. Jeff Polaski prevailed in a tight race over Don Pringle for his eighth straight win and the honor of representing Wyoming County International Speedway in next month's Oswego Race of Champions Street Stock feature.

PUTNEY WINS WCIS MODIFIED SPECIAL; PRUITT, POLASKI, AND BURLEY WIN MIDSEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2005 season hit its midway point last Sunday at the Wyoming County International Speedway, and in honor of the occasion WCIS held its annual double-point Midseason Championships. As an added bonus the mighty Modifieds returned for their second appearance of the year. Billy Putney broke into the win circle at another track with his first ever Wyoming triumph.

CURTIS PRINCE BRINGS EXCITEMENT TO THE BULLRING
The driver of the 1973 Chevelle Super Sport WCIS Street Stock #7 is Curtis Prince. If you saw the Street Stock feature on 6/6, then you know this young man can drive. The race came down to the last turn of the last lap. Curtis nosed out Craig Orr for his first feature win of the year. A near capacity crowd gave the two competitors a standing ovation. This win and a second place the week before have put the team in contention for the championship. The racing season got off to a bad start for the team. Problems with the motor had them missing the first race of the year.
