NASCAR OPEN PRACTICE AND TIMING IN TWO WEEKS

WILLIAMSON, NY: Spencer Speedway is scheduled to open for practice and timing on Friday, May 12. Fans should get their first look at the new "Super 6" division cars on that evening. The "Super 6" division is based on 1990 or newer, American made 6-cylinder, stock front-wheel-drive, automatic transmission, cars with a minimum wheel base of 106 inches. Practice on May 12 is slated to begin around 5 p.m., and conclude before dark. "We are excited to be starting our 52nd season," commented Del Spencer, "and about the new division here at the track. We want to give these cars a full slate of racing each and every Friday complete with heats and a feature."

For the last eight seasons the NASCAR Modifieds, Grand American Modifieds and Street Stocks have held center stage at Spencer. Now the weekly program will have to be billed as the Dodge Weekly Racing Series "Fantastic Four". Spencer Speedway will remain in the Dodge Weekly Racing Series Division II. The Grand American Modifieds will go 75 laps on July 21 and August 18.

Joining the "Fantastic Four" throughout the summer will be a number of special appearances by the NORA 360 Supermodifieds and the Cup-Lite cars.

Racers are also encouraged to already purchased their 2006 NASCAR license, however licenses will be for sale at the opening practice session. A number of racers already have their license in hand.
