NASCAR WHELEN MODIFIED TOUR RETURNING TO HOLLAND IN 2006
Holland, NY: For the first time since the 2001 season, the thunder of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will echo in the hills around Holland Speedway. NASCAR's original racing division will visit the Western New York oval on Saturday, July 29, as Paul Graff Tire presents the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 100.
Though Modifieds have never been part of the weekly program at Holland, they have had a significant history with special events at the Southern Erie County speedplant. Legendary Modified drivers such as Richie Evans, Doug Hewitt, Jeff Fuller, and Mike Stefanik have visited Holland's victory lane. Eddie Flemke, Jr. was victorious in the most recent NASCAR tour event at Holland five seasons ago.
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will highlight a great card of racing on the 29th of July. Joining the Modifieds on the slate will be Holland's own Pro Modified class, the IMCA Modifieds, the Cup Lites Series, the Charger division, and the INEX Legends in a National Championship qualifying race. Racing will get underway at 6:00 PM.
