Four Lake Erie Speedway racing regulars competed and contended for the National Championships in their respective divisions. Bill Lyden #22 from Erie, PA also qualified for the Semi-Pro C-Main event. Lyden finished 9th in the C-Main event not qualifying for the A-Main feature.

Eric Hammill #14x from Erie, PA competed in the Pro C-Main event. Hammill fought hard with the statewide competitors before settling for a 9th place finish. Hammill finished 5th in the Lake Erie Speedway Pepsi Legend class in 2005.
