HOLLAND ANNOUNCES KEY 2005 SCHEDULE DATES
Holland, NY: Holland Speedway management has announced highlight dates of the 2005 schedule at the Western New York oval.
The 46th season of racing at Holland will get underway with a couple of Sunday afternoon Spring dates before shifting to weekly Saturday action. The season will be green-flagged on Sunday, May 15th, with the opening round of the second annual Late Model Challenge Series, a 50-lap event. Joining the NASCAR Late Model Pro Stocks on opening day will be the weekly program of Pro Modifieds, Chargers, Pro Fours, and Figure 8 Cars. The following Sunday, May 22nd, all five divisions will race back into action again - race time for those two Sunday dates will be 2:00 p.m.
Memorial Day weekend will find events moving to the traditional Saturday race night, with a new starting time of 7:15 p.m. On Saturday, May 28th, the NASCAR Sunoco Late Model Pro Stocks will be featured in Twin 25 lap feature races.
The Sunoco Race of Champions Modified Trail will return to Holland for a 100 lap event on Saturday, July 16th, and the Late Model Pro Stocks will again have their annual Labor Day weekend classic, the Budweiser 100, on Saturday, September 3rd.
Crash-A-Rama, featuring full-size School Bus Figure 8 racing, returns on Saturday, June 11th, while the Monster Trucks will make their annual visit on Saturday, August 6th.
Full details of the 2005 racing schedule will be announced in January.
