Tony was teammate to 2003 and five time overall Tioga Modified champion Lee Sherwood #95 with the #45. Tony has made appearances in a Sportsman/B-Modified #45 in 2003 as well; he raced B-Modified #21 before moving to Modifieds in 2002.
His family of racers includes his Aunt Patti (Hanbury) Pruitt who is the only woman to ever win a Tioga feature (won several) with her B-Modified #8, Patti's husband Billy Pruitt who was the 2001 Chemung B-Modified champion and Oswego Race of Champions Sportsman winner with his #88 plus Don Hanbury who was the 2002 Tioga B-Modified champion with his #3. His wife is the daughter of Spencer and Tioga Modified driver Daryl Lewis; she raced a Spencer SST #44. |
